【制作意図】
心と体は、時とともに進化していきます。幸福や苦痛がやってきては過ぎ去っていきますが、それでも多くの人は過去の喜びを懐かしんだり、過去の痛みに思いを巡らせたりします。人は、時が経つにつれ、人生や物事の不確実性を理解し、成長していきます。過去の幸せは戻ってきませんが、過去の苦しみは、私たちがどうやって生きていくかを教えてくれます。この世の全ての物事は、時とともに変化するのです。
[Concept]
Both body and mind evolve over time. Happiness and suffering come and go, yet many still yearn for past joys or dwell on former pains. Through time, we grow by understanding the uncertainties of life and objects. Past happiness cannot return, but past suffering teaches us how to live on. Everything in this world changes with time.

【制作意図】
喜びを表す片方の目と悲しみを表すもう片方の目が象徴するのは、人間の感情の複雑さと二面性です。
耳を覆うことは、外部の影響から隔離され、内省できることを意味します。片方の耳の上に立っている男性は、夢と現実の間の微妙なバランスを強調し、理想と現実、そして人生における様々な側面を巧みに調整することの重要性と難しさを示唆しています。
シンプルでありながらも深い意味が融合した、人間の感情や経験の旅路を表現しています。
[Concept]
One eye representing joy and the other representing sadness symbolize the complexity and duality of human emotions. Covering the ears signifies being isolated from external influences and being able to engage in introspection. The man standing on one ear emphasizes the delicate balance between dreams and reality, suggesting the importance and difficulty of skillfully reconciling ideals with reality, as well as various aspects of life. This work expresses the journey of human emotions and experiences, blending simplicity with profound meaning.

【制作意図】
鉄は近代化に導いたように繁栄を象徴する物質でありながら、軍事利用によって破滅をもたらす象徴であると思います。
今、世界中で起こっている紛争によって失われた多くの命を思う時、鉄を扱う作家として何ができるのかを考えるようになりました。
この作品は、スズメバチでありながら武器である針がありません。
武器を捨てることによって、平和への願いを表現しています。しかしながら、蜂は針を失うと生きていけないという事実もあります。そのような平和に対する矛盾やジレンマを抱きながら制作しました。
[Concept]
It is my opinion that steel is a symbol of destruction brought on by military might, yet it also embodies prosperity as it has paved the way for modernization. As I reflect on my role as a steel artist, I cannot help but think about the many lives lost in global conflicts. The artwork I have created depicts a hornet without its stinger, the weapon. This absence symbolizes a longing for peace. However, in reality, a hornet cannot survive without its stinger. I created the piece while grappling with these contradictions and dilemmas about peace.

年輪は木の成長過程の記録であり、それぞれの年輪は木の一生を表します。年輪を削り、削ることで生命の痕跡を抽出し、新たな形へと変化させます。
[Concept]
Age rings are records of a tree’s growth, representing its life. By carving and shaving them, I uncover traces of life, transforming the tree into something new.

【制作意図】
風景や家族などにまつわる自身の記憶と、現在の生活とを重ね合わせて、記憶・空間・時間・感情を行き来できる装置としての彫刻を目指して制作しています。
今回は、自分の身近な場所（住居）から瞬間移動して想い出の場所（野山）に行ったり、トンネルをくぐって別の場所に行ったりできるような装置を制作しました。
[Concept]
I strive to create sculptures that serve as tools for navigating memories, space, time, and emotions. I achieve this by blending memories of landscapes and families with the present. This time, I made a device that enables us to teleport from our current surroundings (our homes) to places of memory (fields and mountains) or to travel to other locations by passing through a tunnel.

【制作意図】
「どうしても逃れられないものであれば、いっそ抱きしめるしかない」
というシェイクスピアの言葉に刺激を受け、運命と立ち向かい苦闘する人の姿を表現しました。
[Concept]
Inspired by Shakespeare’s quote, “What cannot be eschewed must be embraced,” I have depicted a figure struggling against their fate.
今回の受賞作品数について
今回は最終審査で選定された受賞作品が、作品に対する解釈の違いにより入賞取り消しとなったため、再審査を実施し、大賞1点、優秀賞作品5点を決定しました。
